It's All About Love

"Fidelity": Don't Divorce... from Courage Campaign on Vimeo.

From couragecampaign.org/divorce
"Ken Starr, who led the campaign to impeach President Bill Clinton, filed a legal brief last month -- on behalf of the "Yes on 8" campaign -- that would forcibly divorce 18,000 same-sex couples that were married in California last year before the passage of Prop 8."

I believe that Love is the highest truth.

Nobody should be denied the right to commit publicly and legally to this principle.

Diversity is part of the human race, to deny this principle is to deny our humanity.

Please watch this video, it's about Love and Truth.

Indeed why would you want to snuff out such color in this world, why should everything be black and white?... And as we travel into the outer reaches of space, i wonder to myself, just how can some people be so small minded? Some of my best friends are gay, why would i want to snuff out their freedoms? Why would i want to put walls around ~Love~? Who are these people trying to do this anyway? ...and just what are they afraid of i wonder *Happiness* ???

I agree 100% wholeheartedly! People should be able to marry who they want, as long as they are consenting adults. I feel so fortunate to live in Canada where we seem to be progressive on these issues. Of course, wherever you go there are people who want to revoke others' hard-won rights, so we have to keep up the work and appreciate what we have.

That was beautiful. Why are these people so afraid of love and fidelity?

Thanks for posting this too. Keep your fingers crossed for us that on March 5, California's Supreme Court does the right thing.

The more people who see this video and help spread the word, sign the petition, etc., it all helps.

Oh, goodness yes! I was shocked when Proposition 8 was passed in California. And then who did Obama choose to give his invocation prayer but none other than Rick Warren, who actively campaigned for Proposition 8. To me, that was a slap in the face to almost everyone regardless of race, sexual orientation, or whatever. We are not stamped out of cookie cutters -- we are all different. Thank goodness here in Canada we actually celebrate the differences!

I sometimes wonder how America considers itself the "greatest country in the world" but it doesn't have universal health care, inexpensive education, legalized marriage for gays and lesbians, legalized marijuana for seriously ill folks, and so many other things that other countries take for granted!

Who are the people who makes the rules and tell other people how to live?

Very moving film, Pink Cowboy, it made me cry. How can anyone want to stand against love and fidelity?

Janelle- The song Fidelity is sung by Regina Spektor, she is a Russian born American songwriter.

nolly- I ask myself the same question, what are they so afraid of?

Canada is one of my favourite countries on this earth. You are lucky indeed to be living there.

Beautifully said Mr. Pink. I'm 1000 % with you.

Ken Starr needs to find better things to do with his time. If diversity really is part of our world, then we must allow for him too. Perhaps he thinks he's doing something good. It's hard to see it that way. I could think of about 100 more productive, useful things to do than to do this, or what he did in the Clinton years.

In the end, there is only love and fear...
I choose love. Always.
I'm in your court for whatever that's worth.xx

Thank you for your comment today at Oasis. I value your friendship too. I signed the petition from the link you sent me and forwarded it to a list of my own friends. I know just the effort to help, sends us toward the winds of change. I hope Calfornia leads in the way of integrity and validates those beautiful couples. <3

I loved this video so full of families showing their love.
You would think that with all the REAL problems we face right now as a country that this would not even be an issue. LOVE is power and WILL prevail.(hugs)
