Icy Day in the Big D

Bad Ice!Good Ice!

All I see around me is ice, ice and more ice. How do I long for my tropical paradise in the Caribbean. I'm trapped in my little apartment for fear I will slip and fall out there. So what is a pink cowboy to do under these dire circumstances? Break into song, of course!!!

It's...Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Even though the sound of it
Is something quite atrocious
If you say it loud enough
You'll always sound precocious,
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

I can listen to the birds chirping right now. It's one of those days at the Old Pink Rancho. Permanent residents, Miss Fanny Louette refuses to sing a long, and Father Mackenzie is drunk as a skunk. The coyotes are bored and taciturn Sheriff Lubbock is on his way to bed.
But tomorrow, as well put by Miss O'Hara, is another day.

And I thought I was the only one who knew all the lyrics to Mary Poppins.

Good to know you still have power! We had a ton of ice, too, with a boat load of snow on top. Buried in it.

I hope Miss Fanny's song soon returns! That ice is daunting, Pink Cowboy, I think the music of Miss Poppins is absolutely necessary to not only keep up your spirits but to vanquish the desire to retreat. The Pink Cowboy shall ride again...the sun will come out tomorrow, Oh no Annie's here, too!
Wishing you warmth to match your heart! :-) <3

Oh may I go a rambling until the day I die
(this kind of thing is needed for these days)

I feel like rambling, rambling stays on my mind
I feel like rambling, rambling stays on my mind
And I ain't satisfied unless I'm rambling all the time

Now you will wake up in the morning and find me gone
And you will wake up in the morning and find me gone
Because I'm a rambling man and I can't stay at one place long

It's one day and one night is long as I stay in one place
It's one day and one night is long as I stay in one place
But I've been in Chicago one week because I like these Chicago ways

I'm going to leave here walking, chance is that I may ride
And I'm going to leave here walking, chance is that I may ride
Because I'm going to ramble until the day that I die

HMMM now where was I going with that?....Here't to the sound of melting ice

Oh....you are all encrusted and closeted in your homes with ice and snow and we are in a heat wave, the worst in 100 years and it just goes on and on and on...it is too hot, my head aches, my body aches and yet tomorrow and Sat will be the hottest yet, 44C (111F) is the forecast which means it will be up to 49C or 50C(122F) in the sun in the afternoon.
Now tell me, why can't the Northern and Southern Hemispheres just get together, have a chat over a yummy brunch and share the temps out evenly around the world...Why Pink Cowboy, Why can't they do that???

Ha! Mary Poppins I am seeing everywhere these days. I think I might have to go buy a copy soon.

I live in the upper midwest I know all too clearly about your "bad ice", we have had 50 inches of snow above our norm already this year.

Wonderful photographs though.

Take a nice hot cup of coffee and fortify with whiskey.

If the weather gods see fit to soak my little corner tomorrow like they did today, I may break out the Mary Poppins cassettes.
